The East Woodstock Cornet Band (EWCB), based in Woodstock, CT, under the direction of Vincent LaMonica, conductor, will be hosting its second Solo Competition this year!
The Solo Competition is open to musicians of high school and undergraduate ages (approx. 14 to 21 years old) who are able to get to rehearsals and performances in the Woodstock area.
The Solo Competition is open to any voice/instrument other than piano; soloists must provide their own equipment (including percussion) and be prepared to perform in outdoor settings. Piano and piano-like instruments cannot be accommodated by the EWCB.
The Solo Competition has no application fee. Applications are due on Sunday, December 5th, 2021 by 6pm EST.
At this time, we are unable to offer cash prizes or travel funds.
